Insurance
Avalon Scaffolding Limited has Public Liability Insurance up to £10m and Employers Liability Insurance up to £10m to cover its operations. The cover provided is subject, always, to terms, limitations and conditions of the policies. For full details please contact us. Additional cover can be arranged at your request.
Minimum Period of Hire
The minimum hire period commences on first delivery or completion of 1st lift, and terminates on written or verbal instructions to dismantle.
Payment Terms
All prices quoted are subject to VAT, which will be added to the invoice at the current rate.
Payment terms for this contract are 30 days following the issue of the first hand over certificate, if you are an approved customer (an approved customer will have an agreed trade credit account with Avalon Scaffolding Limited), or payment is due in full on the issue of the first hand over certificate.
Ties and Bracing
You are to ensure that adequate facilities for tying are made available and are maintained. No ties or braces are to be removed without reference to Avalon Scaffolding Ltd.
Scaffolding boards
As scaffold boards are often moved after we place them in position we recommend that it is your responsibility to ensure that the working platforms comply with regulations at all times.
Foundations
You must ensure that the ground and or base provided for our scaffold is adequate to support the load without settlement and provide any necessary spreaders.
Ties and bracing
You are to ensure that adequate facilities for tying are made available and are maintained. No ties or braces are to be removed without reference to have Avalon scaffolding Ltd
Sheeting / Signage
Avalon scaffolding Limited are not responsible for damage caused by high winds or misuse. Signs/ tarpaulin sheets or other “wind sails” must not be fixed to a scaffold unless it has been specifically designed to take them.
Inspection
The work at height regulations 2005 require equipment for work at height to be properly inspected and maintained. If Avalon scaffolding Ltd is not contracted to carry out weekly regulatory inspections and recordings the user should ensure these are being carried out by a suitably competent person.
